Working in predesign on a new construction building within a large site, wherein the site has only one public entrance. That entrance is an existing welcome center, and bicycles are not permitted in the welcome center. There is plenty of bicycle parking at the existing welcome center, but the walking distance (outside) from the welcome center to the new building is quite far (300 yards+). Bicycle parking is just one of the challenges that such a site faces in getting LEED certification. Is there another way to approach achieving this (and other) LEED credit on such a building? Thank you!
