Director of Sustainability Job Description

I'm working on convincing my firm to hire a director of sustainability. I'm gaining some traction with the discussion thanks to the fantastic feedback and input from the summer summit "Role of the Sustainable Design Leader" breakout session. Thanks everyone! Does anyone have job descriptions for sustainable design leaders that they'd be willing to share?

Marisa, You can find Sasaki's job description for their hiring effort elsewhere on this site. That may assist you. But also, now that the AIA has renewed its "Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct" to require and obligate firms to inform clients (rule 2.401), and promote sustainable design (rule 6.501), you can make the case that a point-person to lead some internal oversight, education, and coordination within the firm is necessary. Hi John, The Director of Sustainability Sasaki job description was from back in 2018
