Different LEED certification level for 1 building but 2 uses. Is it possible?

For the mixed-uses building (Podium as a retail & tower as an office),

1) Can we apply for 2 LEED rating system? (LEED NC for retail & LEED CS for office)

2) Can we apply for different level of LEED certification? E.g; Certified for retail & Gold for office)

Hi Panita, We did a hotel and office tower project that shared a joint podium as a Master Site project. The projects were constructed in phases by the same contractor and project team. The hotel was LEED NC and the office tower was LEED CS. Though both of them were awarded Silver, they could have pursued different certification levels.

Hi Panita, In relation to the subject above, is it also possible to have a LEED BDC certificate for mixed used OFFICE and RESIDENTIAL building. We have a project composed 60 floors, 1st-40th floor (12-40 floors leasable) is office and 41st-60th floor will be residential. Appreciate your response.

Generally, if all that connects the projects is parking or circulation, they would be separate LEED projects. The project certifications are independent, they just share the campus credits. No problem having 2 different certification levels.
