CI-v4 EAc2:Optimize energy performance

DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION PRELIMINARY REVIEW

Excuse me, in the supply airflow rate part, it is required that the airflow should be approximately 1 cfm/square feet for the office buildings. Would you please tell us how it is calculated please?

Our project is a conference room and its height is 9.8 feet, so we wonder if the requirement is suitable for our project.

Thank you.

1 cfm/square foot is a general rule of thumb, not a requirement. The supply airflow of the Proposed model must be modeled consistent with the actual design, and the Baseline supply airflow should be sized by the software using a 20 degree F supply-air-to-room-air temperature difference per G3.1.2.9.
