Hi,

I'm working on a university project which is fed by campus chilled water and steam system. It is ~55000 ft2 so 90.1-2010 baseline system requirement is system 5. I modeled the proposed case with the DES path2 since in reality building systems use chilled water and steam supplied by the central plant and I was able to obtain the plant efficiency data from the bas program. Central plant is 100% loaded, and provided data of plant efficiency captures operational effetcs, thermal distribution losses and primary pumping. So, I only used that efficiency information as COP and ignored the primary pumping, cooling tower fan and distribution losses. I also modeled the chillers curve that are in the central plant. However, I receieved an audit comment regarding this methodology. I will appreciate if anyone has experience with campus buildings utilizing efficient central plant and documenting for LEED vs 4.0.
Thank you
