NC-2009 WEc1:Water Efficient Landscaping

Demolished Irrigation System

I am working on a renovation project on a college campus that has made efforts to be more sustainable. The site is currently xeriscaped mostly, but there is a small area of turf grass with irrigation. The owner has asked us to demolish the irrigation system and replace with more xeriscaping in an effort to reduce water consumption on campus. I am curious what documentation should be provided other than a narrative?

Gregory, you're going for credit compliance with no water use and no irrigation, it sounds like. Check our Doc Toolkit above for samples of documentation to this effect. The demolition of the irrigation system is definitely something I would mention in that narrative context.
