Regarding this requirement: "Track and document the results of the occupant engagement initiative(s) against the established performance goals and identify areas for improvement." Which performance goals are being referred to, building energy goals?
Does anyone have an example of a successful occupant engagement initiative they'd care to share the details of?

What is an example of a performance goal for this type of initiative? Something like achieving 50% occupant participation?

Hi Samantha, we are also pursuing this pilot credit for an office building.
I think your example for performance goal is acceptable, because you're ensuring that at least that percent of the building is being participating with the credit.
We defined as one performance goal, determine metrics to use when measuring the influence of occupant behavior on building performance (kWh/FTE, CO2 emissions, liters/FTE, etc). If your lighting consumption was xxx before implementing the program, this data can be used as your baseline, and since you implement this occupant engagement program and educate users about which saving actions/initiatives they can perform in order to improve, if the consumption increases or decreases, you can define exact percentages and propose improvement actions if necessary, or continue to encourage building users.
I hope this can help you,

We set performance goals of reducing electrical consumption by a specific amount based on 5 year trends. This metric was simple and easily tracked by our team.
