Hi, I am working on a project that is targeting IEQ 8.1. We are going to use option 1 to show credit compliance. For the simulation we use Relux. In relation to that a few thinks are not clearly described in the reference guide.
Do we need to do the calculation under clear sky conditions with or without direct sunlight?
Is there a need to do the calculation including glare control devices, or is it already enough to submit detail drawings of the glare control system?
Do we need to integrate our daylight redirection system into the calculations?
Thank you.

Your simulations should be run with direct sun and your glare control devices incorporated. Your simulations should incorporate all the elements of your design. These should help you. If your glare control devices are blinds and not actual exterior shading then they would not be included. Ensure you include surrounding buildings, terrain and vegetation. These can help reduce the impact of direct solar.
