Hi to all:
We are modeling a data center under LEED v2009, but we need to show savings in the process loads (servers, UPS and transformers) since the achieved savings in HVAC and lighting systems are not enough.
The question is if exists a modeling guidelines for the data centers process loads, so that we can set a baseline and try to improve our proposed design, specifically regarding the process loads. The project is outside USA.
Thanks for your help.

There is a spreadsheet that USGBC is developing that establishes a baseline for data centers. Contact GBCI and request that they send it to you. As far as I know it is not published anywhere yet but project teams can request it.

Thank you Marcus. Since this is a project outside from USA, is it allowable that the design team proposes a baseline according to the usual practice in data centers design for the region where the project is to be built?

What you propose makes some sense and there is precedent for doing regional comparisons for establishing baseline process loads. I would think that it is allowable, however, it will be more difficult for you to justify something other than a previously accepted baseline. Make sure to provide a thorough and complete justification for your baseline.
