A server room usually has a design plug load of around 90-130 W/sqft. Lighting Load should be between 0.5 to and 1.5 W/sqft. What baseline lighting LPD you choose will make little difference to final savings and therefore I wouldn't worry too much. That said, for Building Area Method, I would choose what my experience tells me reflects better the design. Is it a 50 storeys office building with two storeys of datacenters/servers? Then I might call it an office building. Is it an acre of server rooms, and a few offices and control rooms? You could call this a Manufacturing Facility. For space by space method I would use Electrical/Mechanical 1.5 W/sqft (if office building) or Equipment Room 1.2 W/sqft (if Manufacturing).

If the fit is not precise and you have options to choose from it is usually a good idea to select the conservative approach using the lower values in the baseline.
