CS-2009 EAp2:Minimum Energy Performance

C&S project

Hello, i am modeling a C&S project- building of 22 floors. clime type:2A . I wander if someone can help me. 1.My proposed desing has restrooms with sistems of air extraction, it is a conditioned space,it need to be modeled including heating and cooling sistems or just a ventilating systems, if so, i need to comply G 3.1.2.9 2.Where I need to use the value of assembly maximum floors of the envelope, i think in the first floor because below of this is a parking car and it is unconditined space. 3.What propierties of the wall below grade,It is ok to use the value segun table 5.5-X or like my proposed design, and what about floors and walls inside the building. It is like in the proposed desing. 4.in the 13th floor will has hot water because this area will be for recreation, will has a gym.., but it will be made for the tenant, so, it is necessary to model it in both desings. thank you very much.

1. Model the proposed design as it was designed. No G3.1.2.9, that is for the baseline. 2. Not sure I understand. 3. Model the proposed as designed following the guidance in Appendix A. Model the baseline according to Table G3.1#5(Baseline)(b) and the appropriate Table 5.5-X. 4. Model what has been designed. If the HVAC system has not been designed model the proposed the same as the baseline, see Table G3.1#10.

hello, very thank you for your answer,i am not sure about some things. 1. my proposed design has not a heating system. but I need to model a heating system as in the baseline design in condicioned spaces right(G3.1.b)?(in my case are offices and circulation). As i tell you restrooms only has a system of air extraction, i dont know if it is a condicion space or not(help me in this), Also if i need to model in the baseline and in the proposed desing the system of air extraction including a heating and cooling system as in condicioned areas of the building or not. 2. where use U and R-value of floors(stel-joist) (table 5.5-x), between first floor and first basement or in the last basement. 3. what about propierties of material that are not components of building envelope thank you in advance.

1. Technically you need a heating system in both models but you can set the temperatures so that it never comes on. That way the modeling results will not be affected. 2. The floor insulation goes between conditioned and unconditioned spaces. 3. The interior walls and floors are assigned properties identical to the proposed design.
