Hi Soha. Here's what it says in the Reference Guide: "Criterion valuation factor = weighting multiplier for the criterion. This factor will be determined for each certification that becomes available."
As I understand it, the Criterion Valuation Factor doesn't apply at all right now. It's there as a placeholder in anticipation of future certifications that might be accepted for this credit. Those certification might be given different valuations in the calculation than the simple 100% that's currently given for showing better-than-benchmark performance in LCA impact categories.
