NC-v4 INc1:Innovation

Credits from other Rating Systems

In V3, USGBC had a list of credits from other rating systems that could be innovation credits. For instance EBOM Green Cleaning. Does a list exist for V4. The Innovation credit library on the USGBC website only has one item for V4 BD+C:NC. Can you still use credits from other rating systems for Innovation?

Was wondering the exact same thing. I am targeting the EBOM Green Cleaning; Green pest management and also the Ergonomic Strategy for a v4 Innovation credit. Does anyone know the answer to Meredith?

Has anyone been successful using credits from other rating systems as innovation credits in v4? Does this fall under Option 1 from this LEED webpage? http://www.usgbc.org/node/2613903?return=/credits/new-construction/v4/innovation

Innovation strategies for v4 can be found in the Innovation Catalog under each rating system (https://www.usgbc.org/credits/new-construction/v4/innovation-catalog for BD+C: NC v4). There are a number of strategies there that are either from other LEED rating systems or from retired pilot credits. Reviewers will review documentation based on what is laid out in the Innovation Catalog entry (or based on the original credit documentation requirements in the case of a credit from a different LEED rating system). Green Cleaning is not listed individually for v4 projects but it is available in conjunction with other strategies in the O+M Starter Kit (a retired pilot credit). Reviewers will likely direct you to the starter kit if green cleaning is submitted for innovation credit on a v4 project.

Do I understand this right, then? The answer to the question of using credits from other rating systems is "yes, in limited instances". The credit must be on the Innovation list, and will likely have been changed some from the original rating system version of the credit.
