Hi, I would like to add another question to this thread.

Is it possible to claim for savings from process loads in CI projects as for Retail ones, by considering Appendix 3 for the baseline requirements? Or it is mandatory to consider other baseline specifications such as COMNET guideline?

In my case, I'm modelling an airport vip lounge, including a commercial kitchen equipped with a wide variety on appliances: dishwashers, refrigeratiors, ovens, ranges and so on. It would be perfect to apply appendix 3..

The guideline is controversial, as at the beginning the appendix 3 is mentioned in the "retail only" section, but later, in the paragraph "Changes from earlier versions of ASHRAE and LEED" within the Exceptional Calculation Method section, it appears that the savings deriving from low-flow service water-heating fixtures, kitchen equipment (based on appendix 3) and ventilation are applicable for all the projects..

You can use the retail appendix 3 for the baseline in any LEED BD+C project.

Yes sorry I should hve said you can use it for any LEED commercial construction project, BD+C and ID+C.
