Hello, I am studying for my LEED Green Associate exam, and I have found two conflicting terminologies regarding an area where yo can store vehicles in a building. Is the correct terminology "Undercover Parking" or "Covered Parking"?

Hi Bob,
USGBC offers a glossary, which can be found here: https://www.usgbc.org/glossary?utm_source=website&utm_medium=article&utm...
They define the following:
undercover parking:
vehicle storage that is underground, under deck, under roof, or under a building
They do not specifically define "covered parking", though. I have not seen any fuss around this terminology in my projects; I think it's safe to assume that they are synonomous.

Hello Bob,
I think that parking which is outside of the building and is shaded with for example with PV panels is called covered parking.

Thanks Konstantina for the clarification.
Glad to let you know that I passed my LEED Green Associate exam on January 4th and I am now studying for my LEED AP BD + C

Thanks Emily. I later found the definition in that glossary after posting my questions.
