Hello,
Do you, by any chance, know how much the construction cost of a regular Health Care Facility would increase if it is designed to be Certified?, Lets say Silver level.
Thank you

Paula, I'll be curious to see if anyone else is brave enough to offer an opinion, but there is really no single or easy answer to this question. Is the "regular" facility you are using as your baseline at all green, or totally conventional? What energy code does it comply with? In many cases the attention quality and integrated design that LEED encourages results in immediate cost savings. Particularly for LEED Silver, I would not necessarily anticipate any premium, although it also depends on the specific nature of the building, what credits are important for the owner, and other topics.

Hello Tristan,
I understand that it would depend on many factors.
If it is useful, the conventional building would be totally conventional, with no Green baseline.
But it´s also true that this difference in costos also depend on where the health care facility is built, and I have to say that at least here, in Argentina, it would be more expensive, even considering the advantages of integrated design.
Thank you,
