ND-v2009 GIBp2:Minimum building energy efficiency

Core Performance Guide and Restaurants

For projects less than 100,000 sq feet, is there an alternate complaince (or exclusion clause) for restaurants?  If you look up “Advanced Buildings Core Performance Guide” and try to click on the document, it says the webpage no longer exists.  Additionally, the ASHRAE aedg guides are for specific building types, and they do not cover restaurants.   They have the potential to make up more than 10% of our building s.f., so we can not just exclude them.

Gera, you're correct that it appears the NBI Advanced Buildings Core Performance Guide for compliance method C is no longer publicly available, even from NBI. And since the ASHRAE design guides for method B don't cover restaurants, the only available compliance path may be method A modeling. I'm not aware of any alternative paths or exemptions for restaurants. If method A is problematic because of a special circumstance, you should reach out to USGBC/GBCI to explain the circumstance and see if a work-around is possible. Eliot
