Hi everyone,
I'm working on a LEED project for a core and shell data center. The client has not yet purchased the servers, so we don't have any information about their efficiency. I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with this situation and can offer some advice.
Is there any way to estimate the energy use of the servers without knowing their efficiency? Or, is there another way to meet the LEED minimum energy performance standards for data centers without knowing the efficiency of the servers?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

You should be able to estimate the energy load and its effects by using a W/sf value for the data center equipment.

I know energy load (W/sf) but not the efficiency.
