We are trying to determine if our cooling tower meter would count as one of the meters. The wording seems to suggest that the cooling tower would fall under process, and thus we would need to meter all (or at least 80%) of the process water? So the cooling water meter on its own might not work?

Hi Joseph, the Step-by-Step Guidance says that cooling tower submeters are addressed separately under WEp2 Indoor Water Use Reduction. Looking at that prerequisite, I see in Table 3 that it's a requirement to equip CT's with makeup water meters. So looks like you're out of luck as far as getting credit for CT meters under WEc4.

Yes, it seems that way. Thanks, Trista. For others reading, don't get tripped up by the generic use of Process Water in the general requirements...What tripped me up is that it says Process Water in the requirements and the definition of "Process Water" as defined in the Ref Guide includes cooling towers. So you have to read on basically. But thanks again!
