Hi Ann. The LEED Online template gives you an option to record your waste in cubic meters. Is that the unit that you are getting from your hauler? Is there a specific reason you are wanting to convert it to tons? The USGBC does provide a conversion chart (https://www.usgbc.org/resources/metric-conversion-tool-october-2012) that you might be able to work with to ultimately get your cubic meter to tons. I also have found a few online conversion calculators that are able to convert cubic meters to tons.

Hi Ms. Tiffany, thank you for the reference.
Yes, cubic meters is the unit we are getting from our hauler. But the required unit of our LEED Consultant must be in tons.
Thank you.

It seems strange that your LEED consultant is requiring the information in tons, especially when LEED allows the data to be documented in cubic meters. I would definitely encourage you to talk to your LEED consultant about why they are requiring and if there is a specific need to provide the information in tons. Since the LEED template allows for cubic meters and if your documentation is also noting cubic meters, it seems counterproductive to have to convert it.
