Since the launch of the Contractor’s Commitment in late 2020, nineteen companies have become signatories and many others are using the guidelines as a roadmap for their firms. Now that the pilot year of the Contractor’s Commitment is complete, it is important to consider if and how the guidelines should evolve to be the most impactful. Over the next three months, we are convening a working group to implement changes to Commitment that would take effect for the 2023 reporting year. The goal is to finailze these changes by the end of October this year.
All members of the SCL Network, whether current signatories or not, are invited to provide feedback on the future direction of this important industry framework. Do you think some of the guidelines are unclear? Are they too hard or create a barrier? Are they too easy and don’t add value? Do you think the reporting requirements are aligned with the intent of the guidelines? Are the categories the right focus? Is something missing?
If you have thoughts on the current Commitment and would like to be part of the discussion going forward, please complete this Doodle poll for the working group kick-off meeting by next Thursday, July 27th. We encourage your participation to help the Contractor's Commitment grow further within this group of leaders and beyond!
