Content access restrictions

Currently, the BIT User site is fully accessible without having to log in (unless you want to edit or add content, of course). The time has come, however, to start restricting access only to logged-in users.

Which sections will be freely visible, and which will be visible only to registered users? Here's what I recall from our earlier discussions:

  • The Best Practice "Official language" sections will be visible to all. All other BP sections will bring up a paywall/login dialog.
  • If you want, on the FAQ tab we can show the questions but require login to see the answers. Or we can hide everything if you prefer.
  • The main forum page will be visible to all, but the individual discussions will be restricted.
  • Blog posts will be freely visible.

Thanks for asking, Andrea. That rings pretty consistent with what we’ve discussed. Jenny, any thoughts? Andrea, please check the footer on the individual discussions linked page. It refers to LEEDuser. Thanks. M. Shane Totten, AIA, LEED AP BD+C Director, Research + Incubation Interim Director, Education + Training office: 404.604.3588 F
