Construction Assemblies

We also were questioned regarding the construction assemblies used. USGBC says it´s unclear if the construction assemblies in the Proposed model reflect the assemblies in actual design. How should we demonstrate that the construction assemblies used are the same as modeled in the proposed model? Aprreciate any help!

You could provide section drawings to show the assemblies that were built or provide a thorough description of all the layers, constructions and the nature of any continuous insulation. Also keep in mind that the U-value of an assembly must be calculated according the ASHRAE 90.1-2007 Appendix A. The tables in this appendix de-rate the insulation values to account for thermal bridging. You cannot determine the whole assembly U-value by doing a point calculation through the insulation. The entire assembly must be included to determine the overall U-value. It is always good practice to cite the specific table from appendix A you are using to determine the assembly U-value.
