NC-2009 EAp1:Fundamental Commissioning of Building Energy Systems

Confirmation of Commissioning Experience

Given the subjective nature of LEED credit reviews, and the fact that a contract for commissioning is awarded and so much of the work is done prior to review of this credit, is there a means of obtaining pre-approval of what constitutes 'two projects of similar scope and type'? Would experience on projects of slightly greater complexity and/or square footage be acceptable, even if the occupancy type was different?

Scott, I am not aware of any pre-approval of the CxA. I feel that the intent is to ensure that the CxA has the experience to commissioning the system types found in your project. I have not experienced, or know of anyone who has, any problems if the CxA good relative experience.

I have had similar experience to Chris, if you show good experience, this is not been an issue.
