FAQs about SSc5 :

My project has a balcony that projects away from the building, and does not provide a roof to an enclosed space for the building. How should the balcony be treated for this credit?

Should we include motorcycle parking spaces in our total parking count for the Parking Under Cover option?

Projects that provide covered parking are eligible for points under this credit, but what if a project provides no parking?

What if I need to have a material tested?

Can I exclude functional usable areas like recreation courts or rooftop patios?

How are 3 year aged SR values determined for concrete if not available by the manufacturer? And can regular concrete be used which has about a .28 SR value roughly if their is a cleaning program established.

Hi Brian, the Reference Guide states that if you can't confirm the 3-year SR value you can use materials with an initial SR value of at least 0.33 at installation. This info is in the Requirements section on page 197.
