Good morning,
I write to ask your opinion regarding the phrase at the beginning of the credit "If concrete or steel structural elements are applied toward this credit, the project must include at least two other materials ar products from CSI MasterFormat Division to attain the fist point".
This also applies if you want to achieve higher percentages, such as 30-40% (3 point-4 poits)? Does it means that for the first 10% I have to submit at least another two materials in addition to concrete and steel structures? Can I consider only concrete and steel structures for an economic quantity amounting to 75% of the 10% threshold? It is correct?
Thanks,
Best regards

Yes, you will need 2 other items. My interpretation is that in order to claim any recycled content for concrete or steel structural elements that you will need two other materials.
A couple of easy places to find recycled content is in the gypsum board and ceiling tile but you do have to specify it.

Although you will definitely need a minimum of two other (non-concrete/steel) products, this is not typically the driving factor. It is potentially more challenging to ensure that at least 25% of your recycled content by cost is not concrete/steel. The other criteria (regional materials, FSC, etc.) do not have to comply with the 75%/25% rule.
Please note that the availability of recycled content materials varies considerably by region, so our advice may not be helpful. For example, gypsum board often has recycled content on the East Coast of the US, but not necessarily the West Coast.
