We have a process of commissioning CS 2009 , and we have a question:
In the reference guide mentioned that 50,000 SF smaller projects the contractor could be the CxA , however
the area of 50,000 SF , is occupied areas , Groos ?
What area of 50,000 SF apply ?

The 50,000 sf refers to the gross area of the building. Keep in mind that projects over that size may also have a CxA from the same firm as a project team member provided he or she is not otherwise involved in the project. The down side to this approach is that you would loose eligibility to pursue Enhanced Commissioning, which requires and independent CxA.

Also, the SF has to match all other references. This has been getting easier in later versions of LEED On-Line where forms are connected, but it is always something to consider. Ward is correct, it is the gross SF, and the comment related to enhanced.
