Susan, I'm working on a HC interiors project (CI-2009) with waiting rooms and nurse stations that have density of 25 people/1000sf, however they do not have 4 walls enclosing the spaces. The nurse stations have large counters open to the corridor, and the waiting rooms are part of larger open spaces that lead to corridors, also not separated by doors. Are CO2 monitors required in these spaces for a HC project?
Michelle,
My inclination would be to provide them as if those spaces were enclosed. We both know how often these spaces are modified and the credit should work with a minor renovation to the space.
I suppose you could argue the 'room' boundary definition until you are not densely occupied but I would expect the reviewer to call you on the game.
Do you need this credit?
Susan
