CO2 monitors location

Hello everybody.

Our client want to install CO2 sensors into the tables (offices), that is below 3 feet above the floor. Usually tasbls are 2.4-2.6 feet height.

Can we approve this location explain that breathing zone is 500mm around human face (for a seated person is 1100mm- 500mm = 600mm) ?

Hi there! My gut says "no" for the following reasons: the breathing zone is 3'-6' aff, the sensors are intended to be in a vertical position, and are typically hardwired so little/no maintenance is required. The sensors cannot alert the occupants or activate the BMS if the battery is dead. The sensors are also intended to be part of the base-building; what happens when you client decides to move the furniture?  - not real technical, but I do not think this approach will make it through the review process. - looking forward to hear updates from you!
