Clarification on Pursuing LEED O+M v4.1 in Parallel with BD+C: CS v4 Certification

Dear All,

I am currently doing a feasibility study for a project which was designed and developed to achieve LEED BD+C: Core and Shell (v4) certification; however, it has not yet been submitted for review. The client has inquired whether LEED O+M (v4.1) certification can be pursued in parallel with the BD+C:CS certification.

From what I understand, LEED O+M requires a minimum 12 months of operational data under v4.1, and since the building is already occupied, we may be in a good position to gather this information. I would appreciate your advice on whether it is feasible to pursue LEED O+M concurrently, or if we are required to wait until the BD+C certification is awarded and the building has been operational for at least post 12 months before initiating the O+M v4.1 certification process.

Looking forward to a response. Thanks in advance.

Best regards,
