Hello all,
For one of our airport projects in India, I have used the latest GHG emission factors published by the Central Electricity Authority (CEA), Government of India, for calculating GHG emissions. I understand that LEED requires site energy-based emissions for this purpose.
I would like to clarify:
-
Is it acceptable to use the CEA’s latest emission factor for both baseline and proposed cases?
-
Since I am applying the same factor to both baseline and proposed energy consumptions, I assume the percentage savings in GHG emissions would be identical to the energy cost savings percentage. Is this a correct assumption?

I have used the net energy consumption (i.e., energy consumption after deducting on-site renewable generation) for the GHG emission calculation for the proposed case. Does this align with LEED’s methodology?
