City Potable Water Analysis Reports

Can I use the potable water analysis reports from the city utility to calculate the cycles?

I would also like to know if city utility reports can be used instead of having to conduct a site-specific water analysis - thank you!

Yes, city reports can be used as long as they're under 5 years old.

Hi there- Just found out that City reports aren't acceptable.  The test must be taken at the main water supply line near the LEED project boundary, so it takes into account any contaminants picked up in the lines

So if the test must be taken near the water supply, does this mean the credit realistically cannot be completed until construction (in the case of a split review?)

Back when v4 was launched I noticed that this was listed as a design credits. I talked with GBCI and they mentioned that tests could be performed at street. As Rebecca mentions above, they have since required that the test be performed such that contaminants of the pipes of the project are taken into account.  We always defer this credit to the construction application. I have not worked with GBCI to get this labeled as a 'construction' credit...since we always submit it, and achieve it, within the construction review. Hope this helps!

Hi there,  The reference guide step-to-step guidance indicates that the water analysis must be no more than five years old. Should I interpret this as five years within design completion, LEED initial submission, LEED credit submission or another milestone?
