Hi, I have a question regarding the Space Controls.
The controls installed, control the spaces remotely and they are located inside the electric panel. The controls have a color indicator (not a light) that indicates if the lighting in a certain space is on or off. Each control located in the electric panel has a label indicating the area it controls. The total number of these manual space controls is more than what ASHRAE requires, but we are not complying so far if we need to install a light indicator in each control. Do we need to install a light for each control? Thank you!

I don't believe this would comply with ASHRAE requirements.
They want an indicator light. A painted indicator is not a light.
And the remote switch needs to be easy for the occupants to get to, operate, and identify which switch controls which area. Electrical rooms and panels are often locked.
Also, The control can be in a remote location only when necessary for reasons of safety or security. This might be a valid reason in a retail store. But can the switches be located on a wall behind the register?
A switch is not the only form of control. Just having occupancy sensors counts as local control.
