Has anyone had success with (2) 2-hr sessions being accepted as compliant (by GBCI) for the integrated design team charrette? Also, any reason virtual mtgs (using platform like gottomeeting) wouldn't be acceptable as the Charrette meeting forum?

Sounds like both would likely be acceptable to me. The important part is that the team does the analysis and meets to discuss it and how it can inform the development of the design.
That said there are obvious reasons why meeting in person is a better option, especially early in design.

Marcus- thx so much for the quick reply. Agreed on your observations. In this particular case, the project is relatively small, with a rather quick schedule and the design team hails from multiple cities so we're in need of a nimble tele-commuting solution to facilitate our integrated team discussions. The owner team will be in physical attendance with several of the design team stakeholders.
