Carpet Tile as an Entryway System

The Reference Guide for EQc1, Option 1- Entryway Systems describes entryway system in part ..…... " rollout mats and any other materials manufactured as entryway systems with equivalent or better performance."  My question:  Would the use of modular carpet tile designed for entryway conditions be acceptable??

Hi James, if the product is specifically designed to capture particulates and prevent contaminants from entering the building, then you're good to go. Manufacturers typically call this out for compliant products, and state that they're designed or engineered with material that traps dirt, moisture, etc.
