We will have cogeneration onsite. Do the credit requirements apply to all electricity used onsite, or only that which is purchased from the grid?

CS-v4 EAc7:Green power and carbon offsets

Carbon Offsets & Annual delivery

Hi all, 

On one of my Core & Shell projects, the quantity of Carbon offsets required seems to be so small that the suppliers are not willing to contract for an annual supply of the quantity, but are proposing to buy the carbon offsets for 5 years at once. Is this acceptable?

Hi, I see no reason why it should not be allowed. You can offset the the amount upfront which doesn't in any way interfere with the aim of the credit. It's not based on actual consumption but the simulation. I'm planning on doing the same in one of my projects and I expect no difficulty. I will keep you posted if there's any complications.
