Hi! all,

Can shades from renewable energy systems (owned or rented) with the energy sold off-site be considered as the nonroof measure for heat island reduction?

Yes, I would think that what happens with the energy is irrelevant for this Credit. If the panels are within your project boundary and providing shade, the shaded area should count in your compliance.
