Our project went forward with Fundamental Commissioning using a member of the Engineering firm (disinterested party, not involved in any way with the design/engineering/construction of the building). As we are getting close to the end of CDs, the client is considering Enhanced Commissioning, which does not allow any employee from the design/engineering/construction firm.
Is it possible for the Enhanced Cxing to be done by a different CxA? Would the Fundamental Cxing Agent have to turn over the remainder of the scope to the new CxA, or could the Fundamental CxA continue with their scope and the Enhanced CxA only do the Enhanced scope? Or would the Fundamental CxA have to turn over the rest of their scope to the "new" CxA? Has anyone successfully done this? Any and all direction would be very appreciated. Thanks!

From a LEED perspective this is definitely possible. In terms of the handoff, I would simply look to the the expertise on the project (and others who can weigh in here) about the best way to conduct that to offer the highest level of quality assurance. Plan to have a short narrative that addresses how this was done.
