Hi LEED expert, my project is a manufacturing plant with a warehouse. The warehouse accounts for 46% of the total GFA. The project will be registered under New Construction. For this credit specifically, can I apply the requirement of the Warehouse instead of New Construction? Or I have to apply New Construction requirements consistently for all credits, including this credit specifically?

Hi Michael,
Yes in my experience with previous certified warehouse projects, you can substitute just this credit from the warehouse system on your NC project.

in my experience the answer is "maybe".
it depends if your shift schedule more closely aligns with a warehouse-type shift schedule or with a factory-type shift schedule.
have gotten some pushback when trying to sub this credit on a factory/warehouse pursuing NC cert.

Hi Michael, can you share you experience on this credit, I have the same project, where warehouse is 45% of total area, but the entire project is under NC rating. Were you successfull in applying the requirement of the Warehouse instead of New Construction?
