According to this prerequisite, the project should have dedicated areas for the collection and storage of mixed paper, corrugated cardboard, glass, plastics, metals, plus two or more waste streams from batteries, mercury-containing lamps and E-waste. The question is: must mixed paper and corrugated cardboard be collected and stored separately? Since the project is located in Estonia, where it is a common practice to collect and store mixed paper and corrugated cardboard in the same waste stream (the rest of the waste streams are, of course, collected and stored separately). Can the project collect and store mixed paper and corrugated cardboard together and still achieve this prerequisite?

Yes, this is fine. It depends on your local recycling provider, and in this case yours allows paper and cardboard to be collected together. My city collects all recycling as a single waste stream and separates it at the plant, so on our local LEED projects we typically provide a single dumpster for all (non hazardous) recyclable waste.
