NC-v4 IPc1:Integrative process

Can I omit the IP credit since it is stand alone?

Generally,in other categories, we have to perform to meet all prerequisites though we don't need any credits in the categories (suppose that we have enough credits that meet our goal. If we don't need the IP credit, can we omit it? Or we must perform it as it is a part of the IP category?
