NC-v4 LTc5:Access to quality transit

Bus stops facing each other on opposite sides high way.

Dear All,

We are facing a situation that two directions of a bus stop are separated by the highway. One direction's stop is within the 400m requirement, however, the other direction's stop is in the 1600m walking distance from any entrance of the building due to the distance of the overpass.

It is stated in the Reference Guide that "Each point at which a transit vehicle stops to receive or discharge passengers is considered a separate stop; this includes stops facing each other on opposite sides of a street. If a route has two separate stops to serve each direction (e.g., on opposite sides of a street or on separated, one-way streets), choose one stop from which to measure the distance to that route."

The closer stop meets the threshold for 3 points.

I wonder if anyone else understands that the building is going to be eligible for this credit.

Thanks,

Beks

Hi Beks, yes, your case is a little bit unique but seems like it complies based on the language from the Reference Guide. If you want a more definitive answer, you can reach out to GBCI and inquire and use that email response to support your documentation during your review if you feel necessary.
