Building Type Method or Space-by-Space on Construction phase

If same Lighting Power Density (W/sf) was used in all zones during the design phase using Building Type Method, should we switch to space by space on its final stage? Appendix-G says it doesn't have to be an specific method, as long as the method is the same on both models but I just want to make sure that keeping the previous method will not cause any problem. It would take more time to do the take-off for the proposed lighting design and resizing the whole HVAC system in the baseline if I switch to LPD space-by-space method. I hope you guys understand that sometimes we need to pick the option where we could save time.
