If it is a product that was pre-approved by USGBC from their better materials database, it has a reference number that you include, and you don't have to provide the actual EPD. If you are providing the EPD, you can leave it blank.

Hi Tom. Thanks for the response. I went the the better materials database and registered, but am not seeing a reference number assocated with any of the products. Can you send a snapshot of where the reference number is shown or should show up? All I see is repetitive info provided by testing companies such as UL Spot, Mindful Materials, SCS Global, etc. and the certifications each offers.

Much like anything with LEED product data, its not just easily available. Since Better Materials takes you to multiple external databases, it is different depending on where you get it from. But in the end, there's a pdf that shows the number. Here's a screencast of finding that pdf and where the number exists using a few examples.

Finally clicked a product that has a "Verified for LEED documentation Section with an Exterior Link and that PDF document has the GBCI Docverification ID number listed for each piece of LEED documentation.
