Building-level energy metering

How does USGBC enforce the commitment to sharing with USGBC the resulting energy consumption data and electrical demand data (if metered)... Do they request this information from us annually upon certification or must we remember to submit it to them annually?

Projects set up a Portfolio Manager account and then share that account with USGBC. USGBC would then have access to the data. I would guess that if you stop entering data USGBC would ask the project about it. I am speculating a bit so if someone at USGBC would chime in here that would be helpful.

My client has the same question. Is there any issue if they only enter data annually so long as five years of data are entered?
