BIT Profile Images

So I was testing assigning a BIT Expert to a Best Practice and I am having trouble getting the profile image to appear.

When I upload a profile picture, it appears on the standard profile page from "My Account" but when I navigate to the BIT Best Practice 01, the image does not show and it takes me to another profile page that does not include my profile picture.

I've attached some screenshots. Please let me know if I am doing something incorrectly. I am putting together a help guide for our BIT Expert Users.

Hi Dennis, Andrea is traveling today and Ben is finished work for the week. I'll try to answer your question. I'm not certain about this but I believe that the profile image for the forums is stored in the profile on the BIT user site. Are you uploading an image to the profile in Salesforce? This was an issue we discussed, how to get the image from Salesforce to the BIT user site for display in the forum. Or just have users upload their image on BIT User. Try to add the image to the profile in BIT User. Ben and or Andrea will see this next week and get back to you if I am completely off here. Have a good weekend, Angela

Thank you for looking into it. I uploaded it to the BITUser site in our test account that is set up as if I were a general user, but no luck. I looked further into the ability to pass the Salesforce profile image to BITUser, but it turned out to be more complicated an may be a more time consuming task than I originally thought. It has to do with the funky way Salesforce stores profile images. I think we should focus and encourage users to upload their profile picture to BITUser since that is where the forums, blogs and posts are and it would be more helpful to other users involved in those discussions. There is nothing on the Salesforce side that uses the Salesforce profile picture currently. I will wait to hear back from Andrea and Ben later next week. Thank you!

Hi Dennis, I tried uploading a photo to one of my test user (non-editor) accounts from the BIT User edit profile screens, and it worked fine: https://live-bituser.pantheonsite.io/users/andrea-lemon I did this while logged in as that test user, and not as an editor/admin. So I'm not sure why it didn't work for you. Perhaps you can try again on a different test user? Andrea
