Big News at SERA's California office!

Hi everyone -
Some of you already have heard some or all of this news, but I thought I'd share today's press release with the whole group.
The headline is:
SERA is VERY excited to announce that David Johnson, formerly the managing partner of Bill McDonough's San Francisco office, is now heading up SERA's bay area office.
Here's the link: https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/sera-welcomes-new-leader-as-bay-area-presence-grows-300590014.html?tc=eml_cleartime

...and I will be taking a sabbatical starting in May to bicycle tour with my wife in South America, through the better part of 2019.  ;-)

Well good for you Clark!  Sounds like a total blast. And congrats to SERA for finding someone to take over your duties.

Nice!!! Do you want to work as me (wear a black hair wig?) so I can be in South America as you?

That might be hard for both of us to pull off... ;-)
But you're welcome to come meet us as we pedal southward...

That sounds amazing, good for you both! I myself am a strong proponent of extended bicycle-based sabbaticals, (though mine was not nearly as long and adventurous as yours). Will you be sharing your journey via blog or other vicariousness-enabling means?

Congrats Clark!  Well deserved, to be sure.  Will you be down there as late as July 2, 2019 to enjoy the eclipse from the zone of totality?  I highly recommend it, if July is included in the "better part" of next year.  Enjoy! - Stephen Endy

Congratulations, Clark.  I second the call for vicariousness-enabling.  I just finished a friend's book chronicling a ride along the Potomac Canal mule paths, Mule Skinner Blues by Mark Wedel, which began as blog posts (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07888PR3D).  Bring us with you! -Jim        LORD AECK   SARGENT ____   Jim Nicolow, AIA Principal, LEED Fellow 877-929-1400   Responsive Design LordAeckSargent.com

You bet! Once we have our blog/website figured out, I'll post the link to this group.

We will be there through the better part of 2019, so yes we will be there during the next eclipse, and it is on our list of things to build into the trip. Thanks for the suggestion!
