Hallo everybody,
The credit language says:
- Provide short-term bicycle storage capacity equal to 2.5% or more of all building occupants but no fewer
than four storage spaces per building. Short-term bicycle storage must be within 100 feet (30 meters) of a
primary entry.
- Provide long-term bicycle storage capacity equal to 30% of all building occupants, but no less than one
storage space per residential unit. Long-term bicycle storage must be within 100 feet (30 meters) of a
primary entry.
Our project is a multifamily building with a food market in the ground floor. I am wondering if we have to provide both short term & long term storage capacity for the market users. The credit doesn't recommend what to do for mixed-use building, which are very common.

Gustavo,
For mixed-use projects, I recommend following the NC requirements. They are as follows.
Meet the following requirements for the nonresidential portion of the building:
Provide short-term bicycle storage for at least 2.5% of all peak visitors, but no fewer than four storage spaces per building.
Provide long-term bicycle storage for at least 5% of all regular building occupants, but no fewer than four storage spaces per building in addition to the short-term bicycle storage spaces.
AND, meet the following for the residential portion of the building:
Provide short-term bicycle storage for at least 2.5% of all peak visitors but no fewer than four storage spaces per building.
Provide long-term bicycle storage for at least 30% of all regular building occupants, but no less than one storage space per residential unit in addition to the short-term bicycle storage spaces.
