BG/LEED User content and forums

Hey, all. Two questions:

-How do we communicate to you LEED User content that needs to be pulled through to BIT-user pages? Are you all going to assess each BP page for potential articles/topics that will be linked?

-Regarding the forums- is there a way to notify program staff when a forum has an unanswered question? Hoping to make sure we don't overlook/miss someone's questions.  Thanks!

HI Shane,  I talked with Jenny a while back about content from LEEDuser that we can use on BITuser; I believe she is identifying the resources that would be useful.  It didn't sounds like there is anything there that would benefit from an automated process--I think it's mostly sample documents and templates from LEEDuser's Documentation Toolkits. These can just be grabbed from LEEDuser and posted to the appropriate place on BITuser by whoever is managing the BITuser content. There was a question about getting permission to use some of these things--the ones that weren't generated by WSP or BG. I'm not sure it's critical legally, but I seem to recall that Jenny wanted to do that, so that the people who provided them to LEEDuser are aware of BITuser and the reuse of their materials on that site. Is there some other kind of content you had in mind that we should be thinking about automating a flow for? I don't think that was part of our IT spec, and I don't know what that content would be.

About notifications for unanswered questions on the forums-- Anyone who has signed up gets notified whenever anything is posted to a forum that they're signed up for (like everyone who's getting this message!) So those who can will hopefully be responding pretty quickly.  There are posts on LEEDuser that remain unanswered for a while--but it's easy to find them by just going to master forum page and looking for any posts that show zero responses. So no one has to go into each Best Practice forum to check for unanswered questions--they're all in one place.  Which is all a long of saying "no, we don't have that feature." If it seems important to have down the road we can figure out what it would take to add it (and the parameters--who should notified, in what timeframe, etc.). I could see this being handy once things get really busy, but shouldn't be an issue right off the bat.  Nadav

Yes, the only thing we might want permission for are example documents for a third party (e.g., example LEED documents). All plans and templates and other content we can just take as we see fit. I have been flagging resources that we might grab in my BITuser content drafts, and in most cases they will just need to be reformatted/rebranded to map to BIT instead of LEED.
