Hi everyone!
We have some doubt on which would be the most suitable rating system for a project. It is a 9-stories residential building. So, we believe it can be either BD+C: Multifamily Midrise or New Construction under v4, right?
If we choose to go under NC, do we have to add a Green Rater to the certification process for being Residential?
If it were 7-stories high, can it be NC as well? or the limit would be from 4-8 stories to be Multifamily Midrise?

Its either or typically. If you go with the MidRise option at least 50% of the floor area needs to be residential units. Under this case then you will need a Green Rater. the BDC path does not require a Green Rater that I am aware of.

We are struggling with the same issue of MidRise versus NC. Finding that HUD and other federal agencies involved seem to require a Green Rater regardless. No answer...just more questions.

supposing that we are going for the BD+C_NC mode, is the energy modeling the same as any other building, or di we have to use something different?
